Advocate Spotlight
Meet Dana
Dana is MyCancerJourney’s lead patient advocate. She brings a wealth of oncology experience with a 24-year career in oncology biopharmaceutical sales and private advocacy, as well as personal experience navigating a loved one’s cancer.
In 2015, Dana’s father was diagnosed with an aggressive form of the disease. As she supported her family during this difficult time, she kept wondering “how do people without knowledge of the medical maze manage all of this?” She realized people with cancer needed a person they could trust to both advise and help them through their cancer journey.
Motivated by this realization, Dana earned her credentials as a Patient Advocacy Board (PACB) certified advocate. “My background in the medical field allows me to deeply understand cancer diagnoses, translate complex medical terminology, decipher medical bills, research and evaluate clinical trials, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and prepare you for critical appointments,” she explains.
With her warm personality and vast experience, she has assisted numerous MyCancerJourney members. “My expertise saves you time, reduces uncertainty, so you can have more quality moments with your loved ones.”
