First things first, why does Capire360 exist?
Capire360 was created to complement the knowledge and expertise of oncologists by providing evidence-based insight on treatment options based on real-word data.
This was needed because clinical trial data is based on the results of patients who are on average, healthier, younger, and less diverse, Capire360’s real-world data approach augments clinical trial data with data that is representative of the population at large, not just the small number selected to participate in trials.
Our parent company, PotentiaMetrics, maintains one of the largest databases of real-world outcomes, which powers Capire360. Our data is clinical registry data derived from over 500 medical centers, encompassing over 2-million cancer patients – offering more accurate and relevant outcomes information.
This information coupled with discussions with a MyCancerJourney advocate enables true shared decision-making.
What is Capire360?
Capire360, is a patient treatment decision support tool used by our advocates as well as oncology providers. It is specifically relevant to patients with a new cancer diagnosis. It provides insight into the treatment outcomes of “people like you” for the guideline choices established by the NCCN (National Comprehensive Cancer Network) for your type and stage of cancer.
Our advocates collect relevant information about the member; age, sex, ethnicity, pre-existing conditions, and information about the cancer diagnosis. They then can share detailed information that can help answer questions based on the experiences of other people like the member. For example, have certain treatments proven to be more effective than others? Is chemotherapy worth the associated side effects?
With this information, members can make decisions that best align with what matters most to them, based on data most relevant to them.
MyCancerJourney offers a whole-person approach to cancer care— providing people with cancer, and their loved ones, greater confidence, clarity, and peace of mind in their decision-making.
Data You Can Trust
PotentiaMetrics spent a decade developing and testing Capire360. It is annually updated and validated for both accuracy and clinical significance by experts in the field.
Capire360 is continuously reviewed by oncologists to confirm clinical value. Predictions were compared to well-known cancer data sources like the National Cancer Institute’s SEER database and the American Cancer Society’s data, and found to be statistically sound.
Experts in healthcare analytics from the University Medical Center Rotterdam, including Professor Ewout Steyerberg, one of the world’s top specialists in medical decision-making and prognostic modeling, have validated the models. The team at Erasmus Medical Center validated the models for the four most common cancers: breast, prostate, colorectal, and lung cancer. They tested the models both internally and externally, ensuring they accurately predict survival outcomes. Internal testing with 100 samples showed the models are highly reliable, with very little error.
After all, every patient’s journey is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all solution.
